Abease is in the northeast of the Ashanti-Kwahu region of Ghana.
The population is mainly peasant farmers. Abease is a paramount seat of "Abeasehene" (The Paramount Chief of Abease).
It is located midway between Prang and Kintampo.
The main tourist attraction in this village is the annual yam festival celebration called "Kwabena". During this festival, the Paramount Chief pours series of libations with a climax being the carrying of the Chief in a palanquin amidst drumming, singing and dancing.
