Aue - quarter of Aue-Bad Schlema, Saxony, Germany, formerly an independent municipality

Aue is a mining town in the Saxon Ore Mountains. It's been merged for administrative purposes with neighboring Bad Schlema effective January 1st 2019, but this has little relevance to the average visitor.

Aue was associated with the Uranium mining company "SDAG Wismut" during the Cold War and is today best known for its soccer team FC Erzgebirge Aue.
