Barkhamsted () is a town in Litchfield County, Connecticut.
Intercontinental: Bradley International Airport is your best bet - about an hour away from Barkhamsted. Route 44, 318, 181 all run through Barkhamsted. Route 8 will take from neighboring Winsted. Route 219 can also take you from Granby or Torrington.
Rent a car! The only way to get around is by car. Of course during the summer months, many a bicycler can be found on the roads, taking in the natural beauty along the Wild and Scenic Farmington River.
