Bhongir or Bhuvanagiri is a town 47 km from Hyderabad in the Telangana state of India. Its biggest attraction is Bhongir Fort.
Take NH 202 (Warangal highway) from Hyderabad. You will cross Ghatkesar and Bibinagar enroute. The Bhongir fort is visible from the highway. The locals will be more than helpful to guide you to the entrance of the fort.
It is well connected from Hyderabad, Warangal and Nalgonda.
It is on the Hyderabad-Warangal-Nagpur line.
