Biharamulo is a town in Northwest Tanzania with around a population of 25,000 in 2012. Perched at an altitude of 1495 metres above sea level, is located about 152 kilometres south-southwest of Bukoba, the provincial capital, and approximately 985 kilometres northwest of the nation's capital, Dar es Salaam.
The town has been an administrative centre since the days of German East Africa in the late 19th century. Today it is the headquarters of Biharamulo District.
The village of Lusahunga in the district sometimes serves as a stopover for travellers on the way from Rwanda to Mwanza or Kigoma. or going from Bukoba to Kigoma.
Trunk road T4 from Mwanza to Bukoba passes by the town and trunk road T9 to Kigoma Region starts in Biharamulo.
