Bognor Regis is a town in West Sussex, a county in the South East of England.
Sir Billy Butlin opened one of his Butlin's Holiday Camps in Bognor in 1960. The camp later became known as Southcoast World until 1998 and is now known as Butlin's Bognor Regis Resort.

Bognor is small and can easily be covered on foot. As with most other towns in England, the town is well served by buses and taxis.
Bognor Regis has a series of events such as Fun Fairs and the Sands of Time festival, to suit the family throughout summer.
Each year Bognor Rox is held on Bognor Prom, where two stages are set up for artists to perform.
Bognor Regis has your usual chain stores in the town. On Waterloo Square is a shop stocking Fairtrade gifts and supplies. Bognor has a regular market by the Regis Centre. Although this area is due for redevelopment.
There are various restaurants in and around Bognor Regis. Along the seafront (near the Royal Hotel) is a lovely Thai restaurant Tuptim Siam. There are several Chinese Restaurants including the Jasmine House. For Indian food, the Bombay restaurant and Magna Tandoori are very popular. One of the nicest restaurants in Bognor Regis is the SEN Restaurant which offers a range of Mediterranean food with and interesting array of Tapas dishes as the speciality. In the summer there is a small courtyard out the back that is very pleasant if the weather is nice.
And of course as a seaside resort, traditional fish and chips is a firm favourite.
There are a wide range of pubs in the town centre, including the William Hardwicke and The Hatters Inn. For nightclubs there is Sheiks on the pier, and opposite the pier is the Mud Club.
As a seaside resort Bognor Regis has a wide range of B&B accommodation. There are two main hotels in the town. The Royal Norfolk, which is a grand Regency-style building overlooking the sea. The Royal Hotel again has a nice seafront position and is a popular venue for weddings and parties. If you are looking to holiday in Bognor Regis for a week or longer, Butlins Bognor Regis has a huge amount of accommodation from traditional chalets to the new Shoreline Hotel (shaped like a cruise ship).

Bognor Regis is 6 miles (10 km) from the town of Chichester.
Each year at the Goodwood Motor Circuit there is the Goodwood Revival Meeting. This event, normally held in early September, relives the glory days of the Goodwood Motor Racing Circuit.
Also within the Goodwood Estate is the Goodword Horse racing track.
