Budleigh Salterton is about from the M5 Motorway (Junction 30): follow the A376 towards Exmouth, then the B3179 to Budleigh Salterton. From the east, take the A3052 then the B3178.
Budleigh Salterton is served by buses from Sidmouth (Route 157) and Exmouth (Routes 157 & 357). There are also two services a day from Exeter (Route 58) timed for workers in the city.
