Camden is in Kent County, Delaware.
Camden is just a couple of miles from the state capital, Dover. While there may not be an abundant amount of things to do in Camden, there is fun just a few minutes away. Camden is seamlessly connected with Wyoming, a much smaller adjoining town. There are a few small scattered Amish communities in the area so watch out for horse and buggies, and for people walking on the side of the road.
To get to Camden if coming from Northern Delaware take RT 13 south of Dover and continue for approximately 5 miles (8 km) until you get to the junction of RT 10. Make a right onto RT 10 (west) and you will enter the town of Camden. If coming from Southern Delaware you would RT 13 (north) and make a left onto RT 10 (west). Camden is about 5 miles south of Dover and 8 miles north of Felton.
If you are visiting Camden via the DART bus system you will have to make a few transfers to get to Camden. If you are coming from Northern Delaware, take the 301 Inter-county Bus into Dover and get off at the Dover Transit Center. From there depending on where in Camden you want to go, get on the next appropriate bus (Bus 104, 105, or 117)
If you are coming from Southern Delaware, take the 303 Inter-county bus which starts in Laurel and makes two stops in Camden.
If coming into Delaware via train you will be entering at either Newark or Wilmington (Amtrak/Septa). At this point you must drive or take a bus to get to Camden.
Getting around in Camden is not easy if you don't have a vehicle; most people drive or ride bicycles in town. The public transportation system for the State of Delaware is DART. DART only has bus service in Kent County and all fares within the county are $1.
There are no bike rentals available in Camden/Dover but the town is small enough for you to be able to walk to most locations.
There are no museums in Camden, however there are placards scattered around town briefly describing the town's establishment. There are about ten museums within a 15-minute drive of Camden, with most of them in Dover. There are a few museums in Dover that are worth the trip:
Camden is a very small town so there isn't much to do but you can still have a good time. Fifer's is one of the best places to go to get a good feel for Camden. Brunswick Doverama has bowling leagues, cosmic bowling, public bowling and is a nice place to spend a few hours with kids. Wild Quail isn't open to the public very often but if you know someone with a membership they can bring visitors to the golf course, pool, and tennis courts. Brecknock Park is the best value location for fun: it's free, has numerous things to do for you to pass the day and enjoy the weather.
Camden has the usual chain of restaurants that most towns have. If you're looking for a unique family restaurant, try Hall's Family restaurant.
There aren't many bars in Camden but you can find more in nearby Dover. One of the great things about the bars in Camden are they don't get crowded and you don't ever have to worry about getting terrible service. Wyoming Tavern is the place most visitors will go to.
There are no hotels/inns in Camden, but the two listed below are the closest and are a five minute drive away. If coming from Camden you take RT 10 East. Best Western is located on the right side of the road next to McDonald's and the Microtel is on the left side of the highway.

Take DE RT 1 (toll road) to get out of the state. If going north take DE RT 1 north it will take you 45 minutes approximately to get to US I-95. If heading south take DE RT 1 south as well, and in about 60-120 mins you will be entering Maryland/Virginia.
