There is more than one place called Chautauqua:
United States of America
- Chautauqua — a village in the Southern Tier of New York State

- Chautauqua County (Kansas) — a county in Southeastern Kansas
The Chautauqua Institution in Chautauqua, NY, was founded in 1874 and has provided adult education in a summer retreat setting since then. In addition to the original "Mother Chautauqua", three "Daughter Chautauquas" have remained in continuous operation since the 1800s:
- Colorado Chautauqua — Boulder, Colorado
- Lakeside Chautauqua — Marblehead, Northwest Ohio
- Monteagle Sunday School Assembly — Monteagle, Central Tennessee
