Chioggia is in the Province of Venice in the Veneto region of Italy.
ACTV operates water ferries from Lido, in Venice.
There's a limited number of trains per day from Rovigo, where connections with intercity trains can be made.
Chioggia is a miniature version of Venice, in that it has the Canale Vena and characteristic narrow streets called calli. It also has several medieval churches, much reworked in the 16th and 17th centuries.
