Coolah is a town in the Central West region of New South Wales.
Warrumbungle Shire Council is located within the foothills of the Warrumbungle and Coolah Tops mountain ranges, halfway between the regional cities of Dubbo and Tamworth. The Shire has a population of 11,000 and provides schooling to Year 12, excellent medical and sporting facilities and many community organisations. The main route to enter Coolah is by car. Other forms of getting here are hard.
From the B84 Golden Highway, turn onto Black Stump Way and head for about 30 km and you'll be there.
The quickest way to get around the town is by walking. For slightly longer distances, car is your only option.
