Delta is a small town (population 3,534, US Census estimate, 2019), but sits as at a key location in Central Utah.
The elevation of Delta is approximately 4600 feet (1400 m) above sea level. The summer average temperatures during the day can be warm, while the winter temperatures can be very cold, especially at night.
Delta is the crossroads for two major US route: Route 6 (from Ely, Nevada, from the west and from Santaquin, Utah, from the east), and Route 50 (from Ely, Nevada, from the west, and Green River, Utah, from the east).
