A 3850 acre park with swimming and boating on Lake Acorn, a replica of a church/log cabin where the Cumberland Presbyterian Church originated, a golf course, and a lodge and restaurant. Prior to becoming a park, the area was once rich in iron production and is named after the owner. He became impressively rich and decided to emancipate many of his slaves and put them on ships to Liberia. For trivia lovers, Ernest Goes To Camp was filmed here.

The museum is free. Light shows are usually $6.00, while a dinner theater show is roughly $35.00. The Renaissance Center also acts as a campus for two colleges: Austin Peay State University and Nashville State Community College.
