Drobeta-Turnu Severin is a cute small town on the banks of the Danube in the Oltenia region of Romania.
There are 11 trains daily from Timișoara and eight from Bucharest.
The historic remains of the bridge over the Danube built by Appollodor, in about 100 AD, can be found in the historic park of the local museum.
