Fuji Yoshida () is a small city on the foot hills of Mt. Fuji. and Enter of Fuji Five Lakes.
At Shimonsydia has a long history of textile manufacturing, specifically producing silks that use the pure water from Mt. Fuji.
Fuji Yoshida is at the end of the Fujikyuko Line that branches of the JR network in Ōtsuki. There are a few direct trains from central Tokyo, but usually a change in Ōtsuki is required.
Regular buses go from Tokyo/Shinjuku Bus Station to Fujisan station.
Fujiyoshida is famous for its udon noodles.
