Greater Noida is a planned city in the Doab region of Uttar Pradesh, India. It was built in 1991 as an eastern extension of Noida, another planned city.
The nearest airport is Indira Gandhi International Airport at Delhi.
The Aqua Line of the Noida Metro connects the city's geographic centre to Noida. In Noida, the Magenta Line [magenta] of the Delhi Metro connects the city to Terminal 1D, Indira Gandhi International Airport.
The other alternatives are DTC (Delhi Transport Corporation) and UPSRTC (Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation) buses. Public transport is still in its nascent phase and needs good connectivity. Mobile-based transport services like Uber and Ola are quite popular among the locals to move around.
The Eastern Peripheral Expressway (EPE) and the Western Peripheral Expressway (WPE) make a loop around Delhi connecting Greater Noida to cities around Delhi as a bypass, especially for trucks to decrease pollution there. In particular, Faridabad and Ghaziabad can be reached via this road.
