Gundaroo is a town of 1,100 people (2016) to the north of Canberra, just over the border from the ACT in New South Wales, Australia.
Just 30 minutes north of Canberra, Gundaroo is home to some of the region’s best examples of mid- and late 19th-century buildings and offers visitors a range of experiences—from fine food and wine to contemporary art, local produce and crafts.
Gundaroo can really only be reached by car. From Canberra, use the M23 Federal Highway, then exit at Sutton Rd, and turn left, heading north. Continue past Sutton, and halt at Gundaroo.
Check opening hours before setting off to Gundaroo for lunch or dinner, otherwise you could end up hungry.
