Harbor Springs is a city in the Mackinac Area of Northern Michigan.
Arrive on M-119, which becomes Main Street as you approach town. There are only several blocks of "Downtown" shopping, so be sure not to miss them!
There is essentially no public transportation in Harbor Springs, so any travel to the greater Harbor Springs area, such as the ski resorts, requires a car. However, during the summer months it is quite popular for residents to travel by bicycle or by foot. In fact, in the exclusive community of Harbor Point, there are no cars allowed during the summer months.
Check out the view from the bluff above the city; you can see all of Little Traverse Bay and it's yearly changing vista.
Harbor Spring is home to two of Michigan's best ski resorts in Nub's Nob and Boyne Highlands (dead link: December 2020). Ski rentals are available at each resort if you don't have your own ski equipment.
There are essentially only three bars in Harbor Springs. There is Bar Harbor, which is purely a bar, and then there are bars at the Pier restaurant and the New Yorker restaurant.
