Hockenheim is a town of 22,000 people (2021) in Northern Baden-Württemberg. It lies on the Bertha Benz Memorial Route.
The town is most well known for the nearby Hockenheimring motor racing circuit.
Autobahn A6 passes just out of town.
You'll probably get around on foot. There are buses but they have few stops inside the town, don't come very frequent and only travel along the main street anyways, meaning that they aren't worth it for the regular traveller.
There are plenty of local restaurants and shops here ranging from traditional German food to Italian food. There are also Döner Kebap stores. There's some fast food chains here as well.
