Kleinarl is a municipality with 800 residents (2021) in Pongau on the edge of the Hohe Tauern National Park in the federal state of Salzburg.

The landscape of the Kleinarltal is characterized by striking limestone stocks on the right-hand side of the valley going out of the valley. The Kleinarltal also has numerous alpine pastures and extensive forest areas. At the end of the valley floor is the Jägersee , on an elevated valley level at 1,762 meters above sea level, the Tappenkarsee .

- Parish church of St. Laurentius. This Gothic church was consecrated in 1443. The altar was created in 1775 by the sculptor Petrus Schmid. From 1984 to 1986 the baroque extension from 1775 was demolished and a new extension was made according to the plans of the architect Heinz Tesar. 2021-08-16
- Kleinarl rectory. The building was once a hunting lodge of the Salzburg archbishops in Pongau. The rich facade structure comes from a renovation around 1748. This conversion to a vicariate house was carried out according to plans by the court building manager Johann Kleber. In the building today there is a public library, exhibitions, and events by the Catholic Educational Institute in Salzburg. 2021-08-16
