Kralupy nad Vltavou is in Central Bohemia.
Kralupy nad Vltavou is a satellite town 27 km to the north of Prague. A visit makes for an interesting break from the capital to see what life is like away from the main city. The town is divided by the Vltava (Moldau) river. The western half hosts the station and older central area and the eastern half has many high-rise apartment blocks.
Regional trains regularly run the scenic 25 km along the Vltava River from central Prague's Masarykovo station (30 min, 43 Kč).
The town is small and easily explored on foot.

Walk along the river.
Pubs and restaurants are much cheaper than in the city, tourist-free and convivial.
There are a couple of hotels if a day trip doesn't suffice.
As well as being on the local Prague rail network, Kralupy is on the long distance line to Dresden and Berlin.
