Kyaikkami is a city in Southeastern Myanmar.
It was a British city under British rule, and it was famous as a black market entrepôt before the military government regime. Now it attracts Myanmar pilgrims who love to visit Kyaikkami Yele Pagoda or Kyaik-kami Ye Le Paya.
You can visit there by bus or by boat. Bus fare from Yangon is 6,500 kyat. There are three bus companies. The nearest big city is Tanphyuzayat which had a notorious Japanese concentration camp, now maintained as a war cemetery.
