Lake Kariba and the Lower Zambezi is a region in northern Zimbabwe. It includes the eastern part of Lake Kariba and the Zambezi shoreline east of the lake to the border with Mozambique.
Cities
- Chirundu — the principal border crossing for traffic travelling from Harare to Lusaka, it is surrounded by wildlife/safari areas, and is a popular destination for fishing
- Kariba — a great place for fishing and houseboat tours on the world's largest artificial lake
Other destinations
- Mana Pools National Park — one of the best places in southern Africa to view wildlife with big populations of hippopotamuses, crocodiles, elephants and buffalo
- Matusadona National Park — 1,400 km² of flat plains and rugged mountains with diverse flora and fauna
