Lerici is a small town in Liguria, in the province of La Spezia. Due to the area's popularity among poets and other artists in the early 19th century, this part of the Italian Riviera is known as the Poets' Bay. Famous poet Percy Bysshe Shelley lived and drowned here in 1822.
Today, its main attraction is the well-maintained castle.
Regular bus services run between Lerici and La Spezia. The town is also connected to Cinque Terre and Portovenere by ferry.
