Longue-Rive is a picturesque and waterfront municipality with a huge beach at low tide in La Haute-Côte-Nord, part of the tourist region of Manicouagan in the Côte-Nord region of Quebec. It is on the Route des Baleines and the Route Nature aux mille délices (gourmet route).

- observation of terrestrial biodiversity: colorful foliage in autumn, varied wild flora, wild fauna where the bear is king outside the hibernation season, terrestrial relief with forest cover;
- observation of marine biodiversity: observation of large cetaceans from the shore, as well as bird species;
- picking wild berries or mushrooms;
- observation of the sky: the aurora borealis, the clear starry skies, the colorful sunrises/sunsets, the clouds announcing the weather to come, the migratory birds passing by in their millions in spring and autumn.

The Longue-Rive village is bypassed to the northwest by Route 138, which runs along the north shore of the St. Lawrence River.
The population of Longue-Rive is scattered along the coast in small hamlets/places (east to west): Pointe-à-Boisvert, Rivière-Éperlan, Saint-Paul-du-Nord, le Petit-Paradis, Sault -au-Mouton, Les Romaines and Petits-Escoumins.
The municipality of Longue-Rive was established in 1853.

- Festival des oiseaux migrateurs de la Côte-Nord (de Tadoussac à Forestville) (North Shore Migratory Bird Festival (from Tadoussac to Forestville)). This municipality has on its territory one of the largest salt marshes in Quebec. Several species of migrating shorebirds shelter in these marshes, including dabbling ducks, passerines and shorebirds (waders).
