Luino (dead link: January 2023) (Western Lombard: Lüin) is a city on the shore of Lake Maggiore in Varese Province, in the Lombardy region of Italy.
Luino, with its 14,000 inhabitants, is well known for its weekly market, held on Wednesdays, which is purportedly the largest of its kind in Europe. It is also a popular destination for tourists, especially from Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands.
