Lydford is a village in the English county of Devon in Dartmoor National Park.
Lydford was a Saxon town protected in the 13th century by a castle tower. It is known for the wooded gorge cut by the River Lyd through slate.
Follow the A386 between A30 and Tavistock turning west opposite the Dartmoor Inn.
The Castle Inn serves food all day.
