- Hard Rock Stadium, 347 Don Shula Dr, 25.958056°, -80.238889°, +1 305 943-8000. This stadium has been home of the National Football League's Miami Dolphins since it opened in 1987. Several years later, it was the first home of Major League Baseball's Florida Marlins until the team moved to a new stadium in Little Havana and became the Miami Marlins. The Miami Hurricanes football team, representing the University of Miami, was displaced because the team's former home of the Orange Bowl stadium was torn down to build the new ballpark, and that team joined the Dolphins in 2008. By that time, the stadium had already become host of the Orange Bowl, one of the so-called "New Year's Six" college bowl games. In 2019, part of the stadium grounds were converted to a tennis complex that hosts the Miami Open, one of the biggest tennis events outside of the Grand Slam tournaments; the stadium proper serves as the main stadium for that event. Finally, the stadium is the focal point of Miami International Autodrome, a pop-up__Formula One motor racing__ circuit, with the streets returning to public use after races. The next F1 is 5-7 May 2023. 2022-09-20
