Minnipa does have a train station with occasional trains to Adelaide
Pildappa Rock (dead link: January 2023) is an interesting wave rock formation 15km outside of Minnipa (along a good quality dirt road). Follow the signs from the town.
Wudinna, the next town east, has the excellent Alicia's Cakes-Coffee-Flowers for a lunch stop. There are no restaurants in Minnipa.
