Moimenta da Beira is a town of 10,200 people (2010) in Beira Alta region of Portugal.
Moimenta da Beira (mawy-MEHN-tuh duh BAY-ruh, /mɔj.ˈmẽ.tɐ dɐ ˈbɐj.ɾɐ/) is famous for the production of wine, apple, mainly of the "bravo de esmolfe" species, and also for having been the municipality where Aquilino Ribeiro lived in various stages of his life, more precisely in the small village of Soutosa.
