Neerijse is a village in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant and is a part of the municipality Huldenberg.
Neerijse was an independent municipality until 1977 when it merged with the Huldenberg municipality. The old village has remained relatively intact over the years, preserved and protected as a historic site in 2004.
Neerijse is located in the north of the municipality Huldenberg on the road from Leuven to Overijse which runs through the village center via a winding trail. The village lies in the valley of the river IJse. The river flows through the village center and flows into river Dijle in the northeast of it. This last river forms the northeastern border of Heverlee. Neerijse has evolved from a farming village into a rural residential community.
