Pontrhydfendigaid is a village in Ceredigion.
Pontrhydfendigaid is perhaps best known as the nearest place to Strata Florida Abbey, a 12th-century Cistercian foundation. The abbey today consists mainly of ruins, with a fine Romanesque entrance paramount. However it is very important to Welsh history as the burial place of several princes.
Pontrhydfendigaid is on the B4343 between Devil's Bridge and Tregaron.
The village is very pleasantly situated for walking in the Mid Wales hills or exploring the river Teifi.
