Quintay is a seaside resort village in Central Chile. It is easily visited as a daytrip from Santiago or Valparaíso.

Quintay is 122 km from Santiago. Buses from Santiago and Valparaíso. Colectivos from Valpariso to the main square cost 1400 pesos.

An old whaling station that once employed almost 1000 men is now an open air museum. Do

There are two beaches.

• Playa Grande 📍 is complete with a resort and a golf course.

• Playa Chica 📍 to the south is deserted.

• Buceo Quintay, Camino a la ballenera. Scuba diving: initiation dives at a local wreck 8 m deep, International Dive PADI course, open water, and 16-m wrecks dating back to the whaling station operation until 1967. English spoken.
