Roselle is a Northwest Suburb of Chicago, west of O'Hare International Airport.
Roselle is south of Interstate 90 in Illinois, approximately 30 miles northwest of O'Hare Airport. The eastern side of the village can be accessed by using I-90 Exit 65, Roselle Road, and going south six and a half miles. The western side of the village can be accessed by using I-90 Exit 62, Barrington Road, and heading south approximately 6 miles. From the east, take Interstate 290 to Exit 5, Illinois 390 (Elgin-O'Hare Tollway), go west on IL-390 to Exit 9, Roselle Road, and go south to the center of the village.
Although there are is not any access to Amtrak within the village, getting to and from the downtown Chicago Amtrak station is easily accomplished by using the nearby Metra commuter rail line that passes just south of the village. The east end of this Metra line ends at the same terminal in which Amtrak trains arrive and depart. Metra details are below.
There are no major bus companies routing through the village. Using the local commuter rail system, Metra (see below), to downtown Chicago will bring you near most intrastate and interstate bus lines.
Roselle is directly served by the Milwaukee District West Line (MD-W) station at 540 Irving Park Road. Because of the size of the village though, one of the other nearby stations may be closer to where you need to go or where you live. To the west are the Schaumburg station and the Hanover Park stations. To the east is the Medinah train station. All of these stations are less than ten miles from the Village Hall. Trains to downtown Chicago take about an hour to arrive at Union Station. Metra fares and times can be found on their website Metra Rail. Parking for cars is available at all of the stations mentioned for $1.50/day, but does not provide for overnight parking. The primary parking lot at this station is accessed from Lawrence Avenue, which is behind the station, and not Irving Park Road.
Roselle is served by one Pace Bus route. Route 608 will take you nearby location such as Woodfield Mall, and the Northwest Transportation Center in Schaumburg. The Northwest Transportation Center is the gateway to 16 other local bus routes. See the Schaumburg page for further details. The Pace Bus stations, times, and fares can be found at their website Pace Bus (dead link: January 2023).
