Sabugal is a city and municipality in Portugal's Beira Alta province. The city lies on the banks of the River Côa.
Sabugal (suh-boo-GAHL, /sɐ.bu.ˈgaɫ/) has a municipal population of 11,283 (2021 provisional) with about 2,000 living in the city proper.

Sabugal can be reached via the N233 road, which can be accessed from the A23 (Autoestrada da Beira Interior) or A25 (Autoestrada das Beiras Litoral e Alta) motorways at Guarda.
