Saronno (dead link: January 2023) is a city in Varese Province, in the Lombardy region of Italy.
The Malpensa Express trains that run between Milan and Milano Malpensa Airport stop at Saronno, which is halfway between the two. There are also trains from Como, Varese and Novara.
Saronno is known worldwide for Disaronno Originale, the almond-flavored liqueur actually made from an apricot kernel base that is traditionally known as Amaretto di Saronno and distilled in the town.
