Tandil is located in Argentina, in the southeast of Buenos Aires province. It belongs to the Tandilia hills.
It is 180 meters above sea level. It's located 330km from the city called La Plata and 360km from Buenos Aires. Tandil has a population of 110,000 inhabitants. People speak only in Spanish, but native people are polite and friendly. They help you to have a great time. The city is good to relax and is very safe.
The weather in the city is mild and humid with an average temperature of 14° and in summer 27°. Mornings are often cold in autumn, winter and spring and generally fresh in summer. Fog is very common in autumn too.
You can travel from Buenos Aires to Tandil by bus. There are two companies, called "El condor" and " EL rapido". The trip takes about five hours. You have another alternative: renting a car is the best option because you need a car to visit Tandil. If you choose to take a taxi from the airport, then you can rent a car in Tandil. There are two rent-a-car companies: Alborada rent-a-car at Pinto 1698 and KBG at Avellaneda 1430.

Tandil has a lot of adventure and outdoor activities like Parachute jumping, rappelling, canoply, horseback, riding mountain biking, hiking and sightseeing from funicular railways. You have the possibility to ride around the Centinela hills. You can camp and enjoy nature at Popy's ranch. There are two golf clubs, one of them is in the valley. You can also go to Tandil Glider's club. You can visit the unstable rock called "Piedra movediza". It fell in 1912 and in 2007 a replica was set up in the same place. You can also take a tour around Tandil's road to the cross, a famous place called " El calvario" which is mainly visited during the Easter holiday. The Independence park is beautiful and has a dam. Tandil has a Casino. There are a lot of restaurants, you shouldn't miss a visit to the cheese and grocery store called "Epoca de quesos" (Cheese times).
