Taquarussu (also written Taquaruçu) is a city in the state of Tocantins (Brazil).
Located 30 km from Palmas (capital of the State of Tocantins, in the center-north of Brazil) it's easy to arrive by road.
There is a bus line connecting directly to the bus station of Palmas. The bus station connects with many other towns in the state and the whole country.
The modern airport of Palmas is located just 20 km. Daily flights connect to Brasilia and other towns of Brazil.
One of the best known attractions of Taquarussu are the Cachoeiras (waterfalls). There are dozens of them in the hills surrounding Taquarussu, some reaching heights of 80 meters.
