Tibau is a beach town in the state of Rio Grande do Norte in Brazil, on the border with the state of Ceará. It is the main resort for the people of Mossoró, who head out to the beaches both to the east and west during most weekends. In January it's packed with local holidaymakers.
If you stay near the center, it is all walkable. Both taxis and mototaxis available.
A couple of bars along Rua Tubarão. First Saturday of every month has a beach party just north of the center. Loads of cars on the beach, each with its stereo going.
Heaps of pousadas
There's always queues at the cyber cafes during holidays.
