Tikehau is an atoll in French Polynesia.
A beautiful large coral atoll with no central island. Population 510, with one village, one luxury hotel, several small residences. The economy is based on tourism, fishing and coconut oil.
Roads exist only within the village. Otherwise, all transportation by boat.
There is magnificent snorkelling and diving. Great coral and tropical fish within the atoll. Bird Island is an isolated bird refuge. No people, but a strong dock for arrival.
