Torba is a province of Vanuatu. It consists of the northern Torres and Banks island groups.
Torba is an off-the-beaten-track region of Vanuatu, which has kept its islands in pristine condition. Most of the islands are full of white sandy beaches, coral reefs tropical rainforests and fresh seafood.
Water taxis connect the islands to one another. The smaller islands of Torba can be easily explored by foot.
Many islands offer diving and snorkelling to explore the coral reef.
Instead of established international hotel chains, Torba has locally owned homestays and bungalows scattered throughout each major island.
Cyclones in Torba are frequent as are earthquakes, though the magnitude of the earthquakes has tended to be low and not very destructive.
