Tully is a town in Cardwell Shire in Far North Queensland. It is famous for being the wettest town in Australia, garnering an average rainfall of 4000mm. Occasionally, the title is contested by the nearby town of Babinda. The town also boasts one of the largest number of UFO sightings in Queensland.
Greyhound buses or the Brisbane - Cairns Train. By road, Tully is 140km south of Cairns and north of Townsville, adjacent to the Bruce Highway.
Most things can be accessed by foot. There is no public transport.
Also of interest are buildings of 1930s architecture which still today. A Sugar Mill runs tours.
Tully holds a Golden Gumboot Festival annually.
