Sleep
- Three Oaks Guest Inn, 530-3rd St SE (From Main St, turn south on 3rd Ave SE at Brothers III. Go 1 block, then turn east (left) on 3rd St SE and it's the 2nd house on the south side), +1 701-490-6000, kkramin@csicable.net. Three Oaks Guest Inn was built in 1915. It is a cozy 2 1/2 story home that still has all its original oak woodwork, columns, built-ins & open stairway. Choose from 3 comfortable bedrooms or a foldout couch on the three season porch. The nicely furnished dining room and living room, and modernized kitchen, make it perfect for either large or small groups...just an overnight stay, a quiet family vacation, small meetings, girl-friend/scrap-booking/quilting getaways, bridal and baby showers, graduation receptions, birthday parties, or family reunions. A second stairway goes from the backyard to the basement, where there is an extra kitchen sink and toilet, lots of counter space, a large freezer, and laundry facilities. This makes it ideal for hunters. There is a huge lot for outdoor activities, and several flowerbeds to check out. Take a hike on the North Country Trail (2 blocks away) or relax on the riverbank and watch the birds, animals, and turtles. Later, light up the fire pit for a quiet, relaxing evening. The house has cable TV, internet access, and central air. Not wheelchair accessible. We are 1 block from the city campground if some in your party prefer to stay in their own camper/motorhome. Rent one room or the whole house for a few hours to a week or more.
