Vetralla is an Etruscan hilltop town in Viterbo province in Northern Lazio.
Vetralla is a splendid medieval small city situated in the fascinating Tuscia area along the old Roman via Cassia that leads from Rome towards Siena. The Francigena pilgrim road also leads through Vetralla.
You can reach Vetralla by road (cassia SS2 from Rome or Siena), via Aurelia bis (from Civitavecchia) or by motorway (A1 exit Orte). There is a train station in Vetralla (line Rome-Viterbo).
Vetralla is a good starting point for great day trips to, for example, the Bolsena, Vico Lake or the seaside.
