Getting around Waterboro is fairly simple, the areas of shops and businesses are all pretty close. But, though you can walk, it is easier to take a car around, or a bike (neither of which you can rent in the town. Waterboro is made up of North Waterboro, East Waterboro and Waterboro. The bordering towns are Limerick, Newfield, Shapleigh, Alfred, Lyman and Hollis.

- James Leavitt house museum. If you're interested in learning some history of Waterboro, right at the center of town is the James Leavitt house museum, which is on the National Register of Historic Places. Built in the 1850s, the house contains the original architecture and interior design, allowing the viewer to step back in history.

- Little Ossipee Lake. The biggest thing to do in Waterboro is the lake located at the heart of the town, called Little Ossipee Lake. Here there is a small beach area for town locals, a boat ramp into the lake, and rentable cottages and houses around the edges of the water. Perfect for fun in the summer, it's always full of people, and there is a convenience store (Lakeside Market), less than a minute up the road, where you can purchase subs, sandwiches, pizzas and other quick food, as well as soda for the kids and a cold beer for the adults. In the winter time, the lake freezes solid, and a community of ice fishing shacks spring up all over the surface; there is also an annual ice fishing tournament. Located in Southern Maine, Waterboro gets plenty of snow, and there are trails for snowmobiles and snowshoeing in the woods, and across the lake.
- Massabesic High School. There is also a high school located in Waterboro; Massabesic High School. During the fall season, watch football games in the stadium, during the winter, watch basketball games in the gym, and during the spring, watch lacrosse games in the fields. The drama club also puts on two plays a year, fall (usually a musical) and spring semester, which usually plays for a week, and contains talented young students.
