Zahamena National Park (dead link: August 2018) is in the Toamasina Province of Madagascar. It's one of the six national parks making up the UNESCO World Heritage site Rainforests of the Atsinanana.
The landscape is very mountainous, ranging from 254–1560 metres.
Zahamena National Park is particularly famous for its birdlife — it hosts 112 bird species, 67 of which are endemic to Madagascar. The park is a habitat for the threatened Madagascan serpent eagle and the critically endangered indri (one of the largest living lemur species).
The national park is about 200 km northwest of the capital Antananarivo (as the crow flies). The closest towns are Amparafaravola, Ambatondrazaka and Toamasina.
