Valkeakoski is a town in Finland. It is situated about 40 km from Tampere to southeast.
Valkeakoski is a traditional industrial town and its history is strongly linked to the development of factories and industry. Today, the town still has many industrial enterprises, such as a paper mill and a machine shop. New sectors such as information technology and the service sector have also sought to diversify the city's economy.

Valkeakoski has a local bus system, which works mainly at daytime on weekdays. At the other times, it is possible to use longer-distance routes. The Nysse route planner is useful for getting around by bus in Valkeakoski.

You can rent electric kick scooters for use in the centre from Finnish Swup. There are two Kontio Kruiser electric scooters in Hotel Waltikka.
Bicycles can be rented from Apianlahti campsite, Hotel Waltikka, Ilola Rural Tourism and Voipaala Manor Café.
Toijala is the nearest railway station. There is a bus between Toijala and Valkeakoski which goes few times per day at weekdays, see timetables (dead link: January 2023).
