Burnham Market is a large village in Norfolk approximately 10 miles north of Fakenham, and 4 miles west of Holkham. Burnham Market is a busy and very large village attracting many tourists throughout the year. Burnham Market is home to many local businesses and is served well by major local routes.
Understand
Burnham market is one of the five Norfolk Burnhams in existence today. There used to be seven, but Burnham Market is the merger of three villages:
- Burnham Sutton - To the East of the Village
- Burnham Ulph - To the East of the Village
- Burnham Westgate - To the West of the Village
There are actually 7 "Norfolk Burnhams", Burnham Market being a merging of the above 3. Others either still exist or have merged into other villages.
The two churches of the three villages remain and are still in use. St. Mary's is the former Burnham Westgate Church and All Staints is the Church of both Burnham Sutton and Burnham Ulph. Now, both Churches are in the Civil Parish of Burnham Market.

By bus
- Coasthopper (dead link: January 2023) - The Coasthopper Bus is a regular bus service from King's Lynn to Cromer although many services through Burnham Market terminate at nearby Wells-next-the-Sea. The Coasthopper bus is an all year round bus service serving the North Norfolk Coastline, and can provide access into Burnham Market from many North Norfolk locations.
Unfortunately, there are few other bus services in Burnham Market. From Fakenham, the Norfolk Green (dead link: January 2023) 29 service goes to Wells, where the Coasthopper bus can be used.
By Rail
The nearest stations are:
- Sheringham - Served by Greater Anglia on the Bittern Line Railway from Norwich to Sheringham via Cromer and Aylsham. The Coasthopper bus can be used to travel from Sheringham Railway Station to Burnham Market.
- King's Lynn - Served by Greater Anglia and First Capital Connect. Many services from the station run to both London King's Cross and London Liverpool Street calling at many major places including Ely and Cambridge. The Coasthopper bus can be used to travel from Sheringham Railway Station to Burnham Market.

The B1105 and B1355 roads both run through Burnham Market.

As of May 2022, the Burnham villages have patchy 4G from EE and O2, but no signal from Three or Vodafone. 5G has not reached this area.
